Dairy Produce.

REDUCTION IN FREIGHTS.

Wellington, Nov. 2| The National Dairy Association of New Zealand has arranged with the New Zealand Shipping Company and the ShawSavill and Albion Company to carry dairy produce to London praotically at the same rates as the Federal Company. The reduction is equal to Is 9d per box on butter or a little more than one eighth of a penny per lb, and to three eighths of a penny on cheese. Coast freights are included in the revised tariff and the reduction only applies to members of the Association. Former freights nominally stand, the reduction given by way of rebate. The saving effected is estimated, on last season's shipments, to amount to over J820.000 bat only a portion will go into the producer's pocket owing to the large amount of this season's produce, particularly butter, being sold outright.
