Cases Against School Committeemen.

DtrNEDiN, Nov. 20 At the Police Court to-d9y William Ward a member of the Otakou (Otago Heads) School Committee was fined 40s, with costs, for insulting Mr Hansard, teacher, in the presenoe of pupils, and for disturbing the sohool. The Magistrate expressed the opinion that the punishmfmt provided by the Act was very slight. A similar charge against a second committeeman is proceeding.
