AN INSPECTOR ADVOCATES REFORMS.

Naeikb, Nov IS The Education Board last night deoided to oall for applications for an assistant-in-speotor, at a salary of £4*oo, In an exhaustive report on the staffing difficulty, Inspector Hill recommended that the maximum number of pupils for a male teacher be 50, and fora female 40; that the exclusion of children from public schools until the age of 6£ or 7 would be of public benefit; and that the present system of staffing requires amendment, as it means a great waste of educational energy.
