Stpnkt, Not 12 The barqnsntine Mary Isabel, of 300 tona, intended for the Sydney and New Zealand trade, has bad an adventurous and prolonged voyage from Grimsby. She ppt into Algoa Bay, trouble having- arisen with the crew, some of whom, it is alleged, formed a conspiracy to do away with Captain Bead, and seize the vessel. At Algoa Bay six men deserted, and daring a heavy gale the vessel parted her anchor, and waa driven to eea shdrthanded. She made for Mauritius, where she obtained more men, but the officers left her. After leaving Mauritius the captain's wife had to take the watch on the bridge. It was found that the pipe which connected with the, force-peak pump, had been sawn through, rendering it useless. This waa looked upon as an attempt to endanger the ship's safety. ' Fire. Mblbottbne, Nov 12 Diglow and Garland's large drapery establishment m Richmond was destroyed by fire, throwing a hundred persons idle, The damage done by the Sre at Biahmond amounts to £20,000. The shop was crdwded by bargain hunters, moßtly women. An eleotrio wire is supposed to have fused, and set fire to goods m the window. A panic oommenoed, and there were some exciting scenes before the shop was cleared, Cable Steamer. Brisbane, Nov 12 The cable steamer Patrol haa arrived from Singapore. After coaling, she will proceed to overhaul the New Zealand cables.
