The Newfoundland Fisheries. London, Oct. 8 Newfoundland Ministers and members of Parliament are extremely hostile to the new fisheries modus vivendi, and it is reported that the Ministry intends to resign as a protest against abandonment of the colony'a rights. A Case of Plague. Sydnet, Oot 8 A fatal case of plague has occurred at Paddington. It was contracted while the victim was removing a dead rat from the city premises where he was employed. It is the first case since July 14. Bailway Commissioners.
