Oamaru Oct 20 There was a very large attendance. The course after the rain was heavy, Results: — Welter—Grand Stand I, Mango 2, ser— Gypkobel, Carlo. Eio Grande took the|lead at the four furlongs post and won by half a neck. A protest for boring was sustained and the race awarded to Grand Stand. Divs— £s and £1 183. Island Cliff Trot—Sb Simon 1, Spider 2, Fleigher 3. All started. Won easily by eight lengths, Divs—^67 2s and .£3 10s.
