Hugh McKillup, alias McLeod, was charged with vagrancy and with having no visible means of support. .Evidence was given that accused had been a nuisance to settlers in the Eakaia district for two or three weeks past, and that the women folk were afraid of him.
Tho Bench inflictod a sentence of three months' imprisonment with hard labour.
