RUAPUNA SCHOOL COMMITTEE.
TO THE .EDITOR. 8ir;~I hava seen a paragraph recently not only in Iho local papers, bufc also in the two Christchurch momino: papers of deptombet 27fch, misrepresenting the attendance afc meetings o? the above committee t wag nor, only astonished but pltszied to "know'whfl.6 tho chairman means by the words " the moraV.ers would not attend the mnetiugs." Sines the election o? committee for 1005, there hava bceu four mactinjis hold hare: — April 25th. pro*eab 7 raomberß; June sth, present 5 members; July Ist, present 5 membora; July 22nd, presout 8 member?. No other mooting w.j,s hwld up to the date when this paragrnph appeared. Thi?, I consider, a good average attendance for a country district; so I think it is only right that the chairman should explain what he means by those words "the members would not attend the meetings."—l am, etc., Puzzled.
