Havelock Street Mart
There was a fair attendance at Mr Stephenson's ordinary weekly sale of stock find produce.to-day. The entry of cattle was large and bidding was brisk, while for pigs the sale was somewhat dragging. The following are prices :— Cattle— £l, £<i- 10p, £5, £Q, £1, £8. Calves—2s, 3s 6d. Pigs--5s 6d, 6s, 7s, 8s 6d, 103 6d, 12s 6d, 16s 6d; sows and litters 31s 6d, 325, 355. Poultryfowls 2s 3d to 2s 6d per pair; geese ss, 5s 6d,656d, 75,95t093 6dperpair. Ducke—3?, 4s, to 4s 6d per pair. Produce - potatoee, chick wheit, etc., sold at late !ra!tes.
