Wickets were pitched, and a friendly game of cricket was enjoyed by the senior male members of the gathering. A programme of races for the scholars was carried out under the management of the school committee ; and soon the merry voices of the prize winners, and the music of thetiumpot filled the air. A sumptuous tea was provided by the ladies of the district, who waited upon the tables.
