Bookmakers Imprisoned.

Christchuech, March 1 ' J. Fairbairn, bookmaker, ■ charged with trespassing on the Christchurch race course on February 11th and refusing to quit when ordered was sentenced to one month s imprisonment. „ . W. Mason charged with trespassing on the Metropolitan Trotting Club's grounoat Addington, was sentenced to a montns imprisonment. A number of other cases against bookmakers were adjourned tin another case is heard by the Court of Appeal.
