Again Blames the Freemasons*

Received Fob. 29,!10.25 a.m. Melbourne, Feb. 29 Dowie had a hoatile reception at the opening of his campaiga in the Exhibition Building, where several thousand people gathered, and despite the fact that admission was only by ticket, and that thirtythree constables were inside to preserve peace, a large and rowdy element took possession of the building, and broke up the afternoon meeting. Owing to the demonstration, the night meeting was abandoned. Eeceived Feb 29, 10.35 a.m. Melbourne, Feb. 29 The Key. J. A. Dowie told an interviewer that the disturbances were the outcome of a Masonic plot, which will do Australia a 'lot of harm. "Suppose" he said, "I go away and describe what has happened. It will injure Australia's credit with the bondholders." He adde'l he intended abandoning his night meetings unless he got adequate protection, which might mean calling out the military.
