United Press Association—By Eleotrvo Telegraph. Oheistchukoh, September 25. Judge Denniston gave judgment this morning in the ABttburton Club case, in which the charter of the Club had been revoked by the Colonial Secretary without notice. His Honor stated that he was satisfied the power entrusted by Statute to the Colonial Seoretary was judicial in nature, and must be executed judicially* Tne Club, whose franchise was threatened* must have notice of the grounds upon which it was attacked, and the opportunity of showing cause against tha proposed revocation. The. rule for the writ certiprari would "be granted, with i6loloa costs. (Judgment has Jthus been entered in favour of the Club, which applied to the Supreme Court for ft mandamus,, calling upon the Colonial Secretary to hear the matter judicially, or in the alternative for a writ of certiorari, quashing the revocation of the charter.)
