Havelock Street Mart

Mr Henry Sfcephenson reports as follows on his weekly sale held on Saturday last :— There was a good attendance and a very large yarding of pitfs—B4, mostly stores and porkera-—which met with fair competition. The following are some of the prices :— Weaners 10s, 10s 6d, Us 6d, 12s, 14s, stores 15s to £1, porters (small) 24s to 27s Gd, larger sorts up to £2, fat pigs £2 17s 6d to JE3. Fowls Is 8d to 2s 9d per pair, roosters to 3s 6d; ducks 3s; turkeys 8a 6d. Old potatoes, no demand ; new potatoes Id per 1b; onions 2d per Ib. Chiekwheat 13s and 14s j oats 8a per sack. I also disposed of a large quantity of furniture and drapery at satisfactory prices.
