Ashburton A. & P. Association.

A Committee meeting of the Ashburton j A. and P. Association was held yesterday at the Association's Rooms, Arcade. The | President, Mr C. Reid, occupied the chair, I and there were also present—Messrs M. Friedlander, J. S. Bland, J. Stringfellow, T. Stone, D, McKendry, G. W. Body, John' Small, J. Bonifant, T. Bullock, E. Cookson, Daniel McKendry, J. Shearer, T. Harrison, J. Bishoo, Jas. Small, Geo. Mcßae, G. Capon, T.^Digby, W. T. Lill, W. J. Silcoek, T. F. Gibson, T. E. Upton, J. C. N. Grigg, S. Chapman. The report was adopted on the motion of Mr Shearer, seconded by Mr Bland, and i was submitted to the annual meeting. Mr Stone's notice of motion in respect to the alteration of date of annual meeting was read.

In reply to a question by Mr T, (.Harrison it was stated that the motion was intended to aim at the alteration of the date to come in at the end of the financial year.
