BU~INKSS NOTICES. Mineral Wealth of Ashburton County' Mount Somers Coal, ORDERS EXTRAORDINARY. I HE reduction m the price of Mount Somers Coal has caused such a rush of orders that it haa been proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that, if the electors of the county insist on the mine being connected with the railway, the "price could be kept at the low figure ruling for Coronation Week, and thus prove A Boon to Householders, Not only m Ashburton, but throughout Canterbury. JOSHUA TUCKER. THE FEDERAL TARIFF. I^HE Federal Tariff has been so altered lately that buyers^in certain markefcu have been afraid to invest. The duties on all finished articles have been considerably raised, but that does not apply to us. For instance, we are quoting Celluloid Mudgards at 8s 6d per pair, and you could not import them m small quantities for anywhere near the price. F. F3BKMMAIT. JOSEPH FORD'S Scour & Lung^ Worm Mixture ¥ -'AEMERS ! If your sheep on the TurI nips are not doing well, or if you have any Culls which you wish to see transformed into First-class Sheep, one dose of Joseph Ford's Mixture, d-iven m accordance with the conditions sent out with every tin, will immediately improve their condition, and it will be difficult to recognise the culls again two weeks after drenching. Read what Mr T. E. Upton, the well-known breeder of Shropshires, haa to say about Ford's Mixture :-- Be Joseph Ford's Scour and Lung-Worm Mixture. Aahburton, 18th January, 1802, j Mr P. Perrtraan, Ashburton. Dear Sir,—Last season I drenched 450 of my atud laraba with the above Drench. They had commenced to scour suddenly, and 1 had already lost ten by death. I drenched the whole lot once, and they coiumeHoed to ituprove right away. A week after drenching they were totally different sheep. The best proof I can give of the Drench is that I have this season drenched the whole of my fiock whether they showed signs of scour or not, as I consider it improves the tone and vigour of the sheep. I can confidently recommend anyone having oulls ov sheep that are not doing veil to drench, them with the above Mixture. Tours faithfully, (Signed) T. E. Upton. Sa Joseph Ford' 3 Scour and Lung-Worm Mixture. Buccleuch Station, Mount Soraers, March 14th, 1902. Mr F. TWiman, Ashburton. Dear Sir, —For many years past I have heard good reports attending the use of the above Drench, but until this season I have not had occasion to put it to the pxactical test. Early m the season my lambs were scouring badly and m some cases before the usual outward appearances of scour were apparent, some of the biggest and fattest of them had died. I obtained sufficient Mixture fcom you to drench 3GOO lambs, and i'rom the results obtained, I consider that it v impossible for me to speak too highly of it. At a cost of about lid per head to drench if; has been the moans of saving many of any lambs, which were worth 12s 6d each. I am bo satisfied with my experiment fete* I intend to use Joseph Ford's Mixture as often as I may have occasion to deal ■with acour or a thriftless condition m my flock; »t«I I can confidently recommend .any farmer whose sheep or lambs are suffering from either of the above causes fco wee Ford's Mixture. He wilt be well paid for bis outlay. Yours truly, (signed) E. Gates. ■It is always atWeable to drench Lamba with J<&seph Ford's Mixture after weaning, Alttiougla no signs of sccw are apparent. F.
