Fire—A fire occurred this morning about 130 o'clock on the premises occupied by Mr G J F L-blow, near the High Schoo'. Oddfellows' Social at Lismobb—One of the most eojoyab!e dances ever held in the district took place in the Liomore schoolroom on Eriday evening, 11th- inst;, when thjß members of the Loyal Mayfield Lodge, 1.0.Q.j.'., M'JS., celebrated the opening of their lodge, at $. hi.eh about 130 persons were present. The schoolroom was tastefu ly decorated with ferns and flags of various designs by the secretary, Bro T G Payne, kindly assisted by Mr E Smith, while the fl .or, which was prepared by the Secretary, was in firsb class order for dancing. The music, which was all thab could be desired, was supplied by Bro R Bennison and G Bennlson, assisted by Messrs J Fleming, G Hamiltoa.
