The footprints of a woman and children also were noticed on the beach. Received Wakapuaka July 19,9 43 a m, This office 105 am Sydney, July 19 There is evidence that the orew of the vessel wrecked on Birkar Island subsisted on turtle and drank the b'.ood of birds. The island is barren and uninhabited. The German authorities at Juliufc sent steamers and searched evsy island. At a place named MoloUt wreckage and ships' boats were found* It is supposed that all perished.
