TEMUKA BTOOK SALE.
The fortnightly sale was well attended yesterday. The entry comprised 6000 sheep, 100 bead of cattle, and about tbe same number of pigs. The market wag eontraoted and nearly all the lines submitted were sold in favour of vendors. All round sheep realised about Is per head advance on late rates, and for cattle there was keen enquiry. The fallowing were the quotations realised:— Sheep—Fat ewes, 10s lOd. 12s 13s to 13s lOd ; three quarter bred hoggets, 13s, 13s Id, to I3a 2d ; half bred ewes in lamb, 10s 9d to lis. Cattle—Fat oowp, £6 10s to £7 12s 6d ; steers, 18 months, £3 10a to £4 ; heifers, £2 10 to £214; dry cows, £4 lg, £4 16e to £5; springers, £5, £6, to £6 15; cows in profin, £3 15s, £4 to £5 Pigs—Stores, 10s 6d. 12s, 13s 9d, 15s to 20a ; haooners, 35a Io 37e 6d.
