The efforts of the Government and citizens are directed almost entirely to that end. Wellington, May 22. The Wellington bunds have written to the Reception Commit cc declining to aselst ID the procession unless a donation ia made to their funds. The Committee declines to p»y a farthing, claiming that the bands receive support from the public and ought bo help on euoh an occasion a* this. I
