FITZGERALD'S CIRCUS.
The small* boys of the town were wildly excited this monaiug on the advent of the circus. That such a delightful exhibition should arrive on the morning the boys were free from school was a stroke of good fortune almost too good to be true. But true ib was, and the youngsters watched the detraining of the animals and gear with the keenest possible interest. The bigger boys in the shape of tbe adults also evinced more than a passing interest in the show. The erection of the big tent drew many spectators, and the mental note made of its location—opposite Devane's hotel—augurs well for a crowded audience tonight. The circus has had a most successful tour down south. The papers speak most highly of the performances. Messrs Fitzgerald Broß. Are constantly on the watoh for novelties, and theiif patrons to-night will be treated to a show hithertojinequalled in Ashburton.
