Thomas batied with gre^ti freedom. The Toowoomba team has lost ten wickets for 204, the chief scorers being Thomas 85, Cuffe 20, Robinson (not out) 32. Thomas fairly beat the bowliug, banging it all over the place. He knocked up his score, which included ten 4 s and one 5, in six y-five minutes. With his dismissal the wickets fell rapidly uoti' the ninth wicket, when Kobiuson and Cujfa made a good stand, both playing lively cricket. Received Wakapuaka Dec. 2,10 a.in, Guardian Office 10.30 a.m. Bbisbake, December 2. Toowootnba's innings closed with thirteen wickets down for 243 runs, Robinson, who played excellent cricket, increased his score to 47. The Englishmen, in their second innings, lost four wicket* for 115 runs, Druce 34, Hirst (not oui) 42, being the chief scorers. The mated was drawn.
