Inquest at Methven.
4n inquest was held on Friday last at Miller's HoteJ s tyefchyen, on the body of an elderly man named j^le^ander Ifremner, cook at Blaokford Statioti, who had been found dead in his buak in the men's Hut' the preyjous morning. During the nighfc he had groaned a little, but when askeqT what was the matter had said his chest was bad, He appeared to get better, and gave no further trouble. The ploughmen called him in the morning, but he gave no answer. Ihe cowherd also called him, and getting no answer, Mr J. H. Maynard, who was present at the 'ttffte, j&'ect to see why the cook did not answer. The reaaon ypap the unanswerable one thab the poor fellow was dead, having passed away quietly in the night. The body was taken down to Met-hven, where Dr. Maude, who was sent for, made a post mortem examination, and in his evidence •'befortj the coroner indicated heart disease as the causfc of death.
