The Dairying* Industry. Sydney, May 15. A meeting of butter exporters resolved to forward to the Minister of Agriculture a strongly worded resolu-
tion protesting; against the statements which appeared in the Press to the effect that New South Wales butter exported to london was of inferior quality, The resolution alleged that the statements were quite unwarranted, the producers being entirely satisfied with the prices obtained, and the statements were calculated to do a large amount of damage to the dairying industry. A Good Nugget May 16, A prospector named O'Connor unearthed a 31oz nugget at the old diggings at Teinora. The Tickborne Case. Counsel in the Tichborne case have given notice of their intention to proceed to the Court. The case is only awaiting a necessary affidavit from the Rev. Mr Williams. Suffocated in a Mine. Melbourne, May 16 Two miners nan>d Taylor and Ohappel were suffocated by foul air in the South Star mine, Ballarat.
