The Lottery Case. Wellington, May 14 Giving judgment in the charge of holding & lottery against Bignold the H.M, held that the disposal of the prize by lot brought the defendant within clause 13 ol "The Gaming and Lotteries Act." He did not belieye defendant intended to wilfully contravene the Act, and imposed the minimum penalty of £5' with coats. A second charge of telling tickets was withdrawn.
