0) Thursday evening the Waterton Library Hall was crowded with a moni, enthusiastic audience, assembled to hear the rendering of the cantata "The Hermit's Cell." The performers, under Miss Newall, acted and sang their various paita in a manner at once creditable to themselves and their instructors. When all performed their parts so well it would be invidious to particularise, but: mention may Ije m ide of Misses Wei's and Neural), and Mr Houninutoi., who showed themselves to be real artists. The second part of the programme was of a varied description. Ie consisted of songs by Misses Newall, Clark, Collison, Millichamp, Primmer, Robinson, Mrs Blackburne, and Mr Blackburne; recitation by Miss Hewson ; club drill and skirt dance by Miss B. Weils ; musical drill by a number of juveniles. At the close of the entertainm ut, Rev. J. Blackburne, on behalf of the (jhurch Committee, proposed a vote of thanks to all who had taken part in the evening's entertainment. The singing of the National Anthom brought to a close a very enjoyable evening.
