Miss Annie Sawle, sole teacher. General remarks.—The average of attainment throughout the school ia fair; and, allowing for some degree of mental dullness ia several children, the results generally indicate due diligence on the part of the mistress. In all classes freehand drawing is excellent, writing is satisfactory, and composition for the most part fair. SB. 4 and 2 are backward in reading, while arithmetic in SS. 6 and 4 is less accurate than might be desired. Among " class " subjects history appears to most advantage, and in the " additional" group needlework deserves special commendation. — Thos. Ritchie, Inspector.
