ROAD BOARDS.

The usual monthly meeting of the South Rakaia Roid Board was held on 1 huraday. Present —^Messrs Lyttleton (chairman), Latnbie, Stringfellow, Richards, and Morland. clerk's report. The Clerk's report was read and considered, and certain small works ordered to be attended to. TENDERS. The following venders were accepted :— Metalling Wakanui-Boundary road— George > Richardson ; metalling on T».ree Chain road — J. R. Cole; skim ploughing— E. McAnulty; faking crossing on Hartnell's road— R. J. -^ Dunn ; for cutting grass on roads east of railway— C. Pluck; and for roads and reserves wesii of railway— W. Morton. It was decided to oall freish tenders for metalling on the Mitoham road, and for raising part of Acton road. RESERVE. Mr R. Bathage's offei to rent the Pound Plantation reserve was acoep ed ou the usual conditions. ROLL ALTERATIONS. — Some alterations to the^roj!--^ 016 Mnotioned. Accounts were passed for payment, and the members met as a CEMETERY BOARD, and after transacting routine business adjourned.
