TO THE EDITOR. Sib,— l see you have opened a poetry oolumn, and being a bit of a poet myself, I send you a couplet m opposition to a shorb piece which 1 read the other day m your columns : — Seddoh's not the poor man's friend, Bub grinds him down like stone ; He's far too fly to tackle Stout, Or Hutchison alone. But all dumb dogs who foHow him Are sure to get a bone, For robbing the workers of New Zealand/ Hurrah ! Hurrah ! for Seddon, Ward, and ' Reeres, : " : ' .:i As social pests they take the cake m all the Southern peas. ' ° - • How the poor deludod workers grovel round the knees, ' ■' t%! Of the champion fire eatera of New Zealand. ' ... TABA-ENI).
