Adelaide, October 25. The Labor party opposed the motion for an Intercolonial Conference to bring about the free interchange of colonial produce and manufacture, on the ground that alien labor m Queensland was a menace to the whole of Australia; and further, that intercolonial freetrade at present would be disastrous to Adelaide manufacturers. The motion was amended m the direction of referring the question lo a conference. The question of the amalgamation and consolidation of colonial loans was carried by 26 to 10. The Labor party are forming a minority.
