Funeral of Mr W. H. Levin.

The funeral of the late W. H. Levin in Wellington on Sunday was the largest funeral procession Wellington has ever seen. The coffin was borne by the employees of the well known firm of which the deceased gentleman was head, and others in their employ acted as pallbearers. The Governor was represented by an aide-decamp and his private secretary. The Premier and other members of the Government were present, and both branches of the legislature were fully represented. The various Consuls attended, and in a brief notice it would be impossible to relate all who followed. The route of the cortege was lined with people and locomotion was difficult. The procession walking four abreast took quite twenty minutes to pass a given point. At the pro-Cathedr»l the servioe was coaducted by the Primate, and speoial anthems were sung, after which the mortal remains were conveyed to their last resting-place, in Sydney street cemetery. Floral contributions could be counted in hundreds, and were carried to the grave by the followers and deposited ■on the coffin, Wellington, September 18. Trades Council and Working Men's Club both sent letters of condolence with Mrs Levin. 325 members of the latter walked in the funeral procession.
