QUEEN SOPHIA.

Here is a quaint story from the World, about the unfortunate King of Holland's first wife* Queen, Sophia—"About fifteen years ago she was in London, staying at Claridge's Hotel. A great friend oi hers, a Dutch baroness, was very ill at the Hague, and the Queen asked Mr, Spencer Wells (not then a baronet) to go over and see the lady. The day after his return to London the Queen walked round to Upper Grosvenor Street to ask after her friend, and the servant came into the consulting-room saying, " Please, air, there is a lady in the waiting-room who wants to see you, I suppose she must be mad. She says she is the Queen of Holland."
