The 40Q head of cattle purchased by Mesßrs Hay Bros., Pigeon Bay, from, Hv Acton-Adamsi, Taxndale, were brought from Oulverden by Bf ecial train on Tuesday. Thirty-nina trucks wero required to convey the cjattle to ©hiistchuroh. The usual monthly meetiug of the South Rakaia School Committee was held on Monday evening at Mr Oxley'a office. Present —Messrs Hardy (chairman), Oxley, Dixon, Liddy, and Bryant. The Chairman reported that the magic lantern is in perfect order, now. A new lamp burner hao been procured and would be available when required for a show. The credit balance in hand was £13 14s.
