An Klevator For Women.
An elevator is being constructed in the house of commons in order that lady visitors may be saved the trouble and inconvenience of having to ascend the eight flights of steps which lead to the ladies' gallery. This improvement, of which the need was pointed out years and years ago, will be found a great boon by elderly ladies, who have always found the stairs very trying.—London Letter. _„ —-•
