ASHBURTON BOROUGH COUNCIL VTOTICE is hereby given that Mil j J^ Isaac Hoare has been appointed Scavenger for the Borough, and all charges are to be paid to him at the following rates, viz. :— For emptying each closet pan where there is only one m a building, 3d. For two or more pans belonging to the same building, 2d per pan. For each load of rubbish, &c, Is. For half a load of rubbißh, 9d. Householders are warned that the Council will exercise its statutory powers to compel them to pay the contractor for removing all nightsoil and rubbish from their premises at the above rates. Attention is also directed to the provisions of Section 800 of the "Municipal Corporations Act, 1886," which renders any person emptying closets or removing nightsoil without the leave of the Council j liable to a penalty of £10.
