LEON-DRIVER'S CONCERT.
TO THE EDITOR, Sir,—ln reading " Paterfamilias' " letter m last night's "Guardian" I notice he s;\id: "Considering . . . the number of leading citizens who were present with their wives and families, I was filled with astonishtiient and dismay to find that no measures had been taken for the protection ol the audience." I should like Mr " Paterfamilias " to answer this question: , —Why should measures be taken to protect the "upper ten thousand" ho called "leading citizens," and no measures to protect the " lower two million " as the author of "My First Love" styles the two classes. Hoping you will find space for this, I am, etc, One of the 2,000,000. r A re.perusal of "Paterfamilias'" letter will show that the protection of the whole orderly part of the audience was m his view. We fear the " lower two million " sse to be protected against, rather than m need of protection.-—Ed.]
