Woodvillb, September 21. Yesterday afternoon Jno. Mcßaulr; waa killed while bush felling four mile from town. He was 50 yearß of age. A New Company. Three-fourths ol the oapital had been subscribed m Wellington and support, both m shares and trade had been received from various bou.-C' s The directors and officers of tbe Company are going to give their services gratuitously except when they lose working houra The report further stated that all tbe operatives employed at various factories who held a share or interest m this Company, have received notice from their employers tbat their services would be dispensed with, and hr consequence between 50 and 60 men. are now thrown out of employment. 1 The directors have received offers of plant, and expect to have the Company m working order m about a fortnight. .
