Melbourne, October 6. The following horses have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup Blairgowrie, Disowned, Krupp, Liverpool, Plausible, Torrent, and Winchester. MELBOURNE MARKETS. The Manager of the National Mort gage and Agency Company of New Zealand, limited, reports as follows of the local markets:—Shipping wheat, 5s 3d, with slightly improved tendency; barley, 3s qd to 4s 3d, steady; oats, feed sorts, 3s 2d to 3s 4d, fair demand; oats, milling quality, 3s 3d to 3s 6d, steady but not active demand; New Zealand oats in bond, 25 3d to 2s ?d, quiet. In the Assembly last night the Colonial Treasurer stated the estimates of the revenue were not being realised. The deficiency at end of the financial year was over two miPions.
