Fatal Accident. Cambridge, July o. On Sunday night a boy named Henry Mills was found dead under a dray in his charge. It had been upeet in going out of a swamp where he had been collecting firewood. Death was instantaneous. The horse was killed also. Singular Legal Proceedings. Blenheim, July a Singular legal proceedings recently took place between Blenheim Rifle end the Government. Th%Collector of Customs Imposed a fifteen per cent duty on uniforms imported from London, whereupon the Rifles paid under protest, and sued the Collector In the Supreme Court iOe a refund. The time given by the writ expired and the Rifles entered up a judgment against the Government in default of appearance. The money not yet being refunded the Riflss intend to apply for a mandamus against the Cohector. They claim that uniforms being accoutrement and goods imported for use of Her Majestys Land Forces are exempt from duty under Customs Act. Another Gun AccidentNelson July 5.
