Profs BBora Brown and Thom»s arrived at Rotorua on Saturday to join Professor Hutton in investigating the cause of eruption . All day Rotomahana vo’cano was sending up volumes of smoke and steam. Lake Rotorua this morning has quite a milky appearance, evidently showing that considerable disturbances exist under* neith. The rise and fall of the lake varies about one foot from Rotoiti. The women and children have all cleared ovit. Those of the sterner sex are only waiting to gather up effects.
