To THE K DITOE Sie, —T see by the report of the meeting of the Board of Education in the Lyttelton Times this morning, that the “ majority” of the School Committee sent a telfg am to the Board, stating that the meeting held on Wednesday evening was only ,l a so-called public meeting,” and not fairly representative If the majority have the courage of their conviction, I challenge them to request the Mayor to call another meeting of the householders to discuss the question, of which full notice may be given. If, however, they want a larger meeting they must have a larger hall. I will undertake that the expenses shall not fall on them.—lam, etc.. JOHW A.. '- ATGILL,
