Funeral of the late Hon William Robinson.

♦— — i The funeral of the late Hon William I Bobinaon, MJj.C, took place yesterday at 2 p.m., at which hour the procession left his late residence at Park terrace for the Biccarton Cemetery. The deceased gentleman was followed to the grave by the members of his family, and by a large number of his friende. Owing to the inclement weather, many of those who would otherwise have joined ia the procession ; drore straight to the Bicearton Cemetery, and there took part in the obsequies. The ceremony was performed by the Venerable Archdeacon Bowen, and, surrounded by many of his old friends, acquaintances and colleagues, the late Legislative Councillor was laid to rest next to hia deceased wife, in one of the prettiest cemeteries in Canterbury. Amongst those who were present at the grave were Messrs P. Banks, J. T. Ford, Leonard Harper, T. W. Maude, Joseph Palmer, G. G. Stead, P. Campbell, H. Westmacotfc, F. Johnston, S. Garforth, G.B. Starky, W. Hockley, H. Alan Scott, W P. Cowlishaw, B. Mason, B. Bay,B. Derritt,E.Cutts, H. Lunn, S. Nosworthy, DrNedwill,»ad many others.
