The motor vessel Hokitika,. when en* tering the port on Saturday: evening at Hokitika, found the .channel most difficult to negotiate and grounded. Her bow stuck for some time. How** ever, the expert- seamanship of, Captain Nalder enabled the .vessel ?to be manoeuvred seaward, despite the Steering gear havingjammed.
