Major J. H. Kirk was a passenger by the Limited for Auckland last night.
Mr. Paul Falla, son of Mr. and Mrs. N. S. Falla, Wellington, has been successful in the Foreign Office examination. He gained the distinction of second on the list, and will enter the diplomatic service.
Dr. Reay McKay, who has been practising in Poverty Bay for some years past, has arrived in Wellington, where he will reside in future. '
Mr. A. C. A. Sexton, M..P. for Franklin, is making satisfactory progress after his. recent accident, and hopes to be able to resume-his Parliamentaryduties before the end of the. session (states the "New Zealand Herald").
The Rev. F. G. Harvie, who. left Auckland 12 months ago to visit. Great Britain and the Continent, returned by the Rotorua from England. Accompanied by Mrs. Harvie and their son. and daughter, Mr. Harvie spent much of his holiday motoring. He will resume his ministry at St, Barnabas* Church, Mount Eden. . ' .
Mr. H. S. S. Kyle, MJP., who has been visiting Australia,' returned to Wellington by the Maunganui today.
Mr. G. T. Thurston, of Christchurch, who attended the International Labour Conference at Geneva, returned to New Zealand by the Maunganui today,. He was accompanied by Mrs, Thurston.
