SUICIDE IN PARIS
EX-NEW ZEALAND SOLDIER JUMP FROM ARC DE TRIOMPHE Australian Press Association—United Service (Received 27th April, 2 p.m.) LONDON, 26th April. Captain Alie Beufve, an ex-New Zealander, who has lived in Paris sinco the war, committed suicide' by jumping from the Arcade Triomphe, being killed instantly. Ho was the son of tho formor French Consul at Wellington, was educated at King's College, Auckland, and served in Prance with tho Otago Mounted Rifles. He inherited several thousands sterling from his father, but tho will was tho subject of litigation. His mother believes that ho committed suicide dramatically in order to draw attention to the litigation. He loaves a widow and child.
