THE FRANCS CASE

OFFICIAL REINSTATED British Official Wireless. RUGBY, 26th April. Sir Austen Chamberlain, Foreign Sec--I'otary, stated in the House of Commons that he had received some time ago an appeal for consideration from Mr. O'Malley, who had resigned from the diplomatic service in accordance with tho findings of the Committee which considered the evidence given in the High Court in what is known as the francs case. After full consideration ho had decided, with tho approval of the Prime Minister, to give effect to that appeal. Mr. O'Malley's resignation would not therefore be accepted by him. Mr. O'Malley would lose five years' seniority.
