He knew he was as sound as a bell, as far as general health was concerned, but he did , not think the doctor would pick his deafness so readily. “Eyesight is more important/’ Joe tried to argue as the doctor .shook his head, “and there’s nothing wrong with my eyes. 'But the doctor would not listen to his arguments. He switched on a radio in the room, and asked Joe what the announcer was talking about.
