Most orders issued to the troops are of the strictly. serious variety, but occasionally one possesses the quality ,of humour. Unconscious, of course. One which provoked many grins was issued in France during the 1914-18 dust-up., It read: “Troops are warned against drinking any water which has not been passed by the M. 0.” ■■■* * , * Tokyo spokesman: “British have a right to move troops anywhere on their own territory.” Japan, anywhere on the other fellow’s territory .- *. * * Mussolini’s African Em-pyre.
