Tho 38th Ed Rogt inflicted the first defeat on our soccer team to the tunc of 4 goals to 3n • - ' ' • Within 30 seconds of tho kick off , tho regiment had scored, and during tho noct, ton minutes cur opponents.added a further throe goals* Ono of those was a result of tho ball flying off one of our own players. From then on play fluctuated until Wood got a shot home making tho score 4 - 1. The 29th v ere now making groat efforts to catch ip the leeway, but tho opposing defence played excellently end • saved time and time again* .At half time tho score was still 4 - 1. During the second half tho Battalion worked hard/ but rould not equalise, although Sproul 0 an’ Forrester added points* The 29th earn is looking forward to a return game. The usual combination was lacking, tho team having to bo reorganised with Benton and Pc ns wick away*
