OUR ART EDITOR.
# IN presenting our fifteenth personality in the series of : PERSONALITY PARADE it is fitting wo pay our tribute to sgt. lipanovio, our ART EDITOR whose illustrations made history in UNIT newspapers. It is nt once-obv-ious that he has mastered a very difficult medium of expression. tho amount of work
involved in a sketch, or an illustration, may berguagod when it is realised that ho first makes his sketch down to the loot detail and then has to transfer it to tho stencil with a six inch nail- - a process that is ns
monotonous as it is tiring, conditions for working tho stencils arc difficult in thin humid atmosphere which makes tho stencil damp and limp, in tho first, issues of DOZERDUST the only tool with which ho had to work was a two inch nail, the six inch and plate of glass were luxuries that had to come, * ** A glance at our files show that ho has » contributed a wide variety of illustrations covering most activities of .tho UNIT, all of which mean that ho has very little spore, time j it is difficult to remember when our lin had a spare week-end- - he has either helped with tho printing of tho paper of < helped staple the pages, for the stories' ma have to thank alox bowman who has maintained a consistently high standard, an achievement not easy to paraloll under the citcuibstanoos.
